June 15, 2003 | <For Immediate Release> To Benefit Roosevelt Park
Last year RE/MAX Valley Real Estate and the World Famous RE/MAX hot air balloon was such a success that
Monies raised in the past at the Campbell City Fest have been used to make needed improvements within the park and last year new playground equipment was purchased. In 1936, the Hazelton Slovak City Improvement Club urged city council to purchase the Gluck Farm for recreational purposes. The land was purchased in 1937 under Mayor John Borak and his council. The park currently has 3 baseball diamonds (Little League, Babe Ruth League, and regulation size). It also has a girl’s softball field, a soccer field and several tennis courts. Many pavilions and a community center adorn Roosevelt Park, in which families and organizations can rent to have picnics and other activities. The sight of the RE/MAX Balloon “Above the Crowd” is thrilling and can be seen from miles away. It’s even more exciting to realize how the balloon draws attention to the services RE/MAX Valley Real Estate offers the homebuyers and sellers in the Mahoning Valley.
