Internet Listing Initiative
 Coming in March

The RE/MAX Internet listing initiative has a name. It's LeadStreet. And it's just around the corner; launch is scheduled for March.

RE/MAX International Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Liniger (ABR, CRB) announced in August that RE/MAX would be the first major real estate organization to put together a national network of ILD/IDX Web sites, resulting in virtually every residential listing in the United States - whether belonging to a RE/MAX brokerage or competitors - being displayed on remax.com. In March, 63 percent of U.S. markets will be covered by the system. Other markets will be added over time.

Consumers will be able to search for properties with just one click from the remax.com home page. The leads that result will be routed to RE/MAX offices or Associates. When consumers request information on a listing belonging to a RE/MAX Associate, the lead will go directly to that Associate. Participating offices receive an ILD Web site, and when consumers land on competitors' listings, the leads will go to RE/MAX offices in that market area on a rotating basis.

The system also includes comprehensive lead-management tools, allowing Associates to effectively incubate the lead based on whether it's cold, warm or hot. It helps Associates turn leads into closed transactions.

The LeadStreet name reflects the intent of the system, says RE/MAX International CEO Margaret Kelly (CRB).
"We wanted the name to tell our membership what the system is," Kelly says. "LeadStreet, in essence, is the avenue by which online leads will come in to RE/MAX Affiliates."
