Play Ball! It's a Big Week for Little League
The 2007 Opening Day celebration, which takes place April 13 in Houston, kicks off another season for the more than 2.6 million boys and girls around the world who play Little League baseball and softball. And once again, RE/MAX - the official real estate partner of Little League - will join in the festivities by sponsoring a clinic, a variety of promotional events and hot and cold air balloon appearances. RE/MAX International Senior Vice President Mike Reagan attended last year's Opening Day festival, which took place in New York City. He says Opening Day is a celebration of the positive impact Little League has on kids around the world. Also taking place in Houston this week is the Little League International Congress, at which more than 1,500 district administrators and guests from come together for roundtable discussions and a comprehensive review of Little League programs and rules. The Congress will include a visit by former President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush. In the 1950s, Bush, a businessman in Midland, Texas, helped coach his sons' Little League teams. RE/MAX International will have a presence throughout the gathering. Included in the plans are several giveaways, a RE/MAX booth in the exhibit hall, and a photo set-up with a hot air balloon basket.
