RE/MAX Valley Real Estate Represented in RELAY FOR LIFE Fundraisers In Liberty and Boardman
Boardman, OH. May 21, 2007 ― Dedicated volunteers are committed to fighting cancer in their communities year-round, but once a year, they gather at Relay For Life to celebrate survivors and caregivers, remember loved ones lost, and to gain inspiration for the fight. Relay For Life® brings together friends, families, businesses, hospitals, schools, churches ... people from all walks of life. Teams seek sponsorship prior to the Relay, all with the goal of eliminating cancer. Each of the more than 4,800 Relays nationwide is a fun-filled, overnight event that mobilizes communities to celebrate survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer), remember loved ones and raise money for the fight against cancer. Teams of eight to 15 members gather with tents and sleeping bags with the goal of keeping on person on the track at all times. This year this American Cancer Society signature event fundraiser was well represented by RE/MAX Valley Real Estate of Boardman in both Boardman and Liberty Township events: In Boardman, May 18, at Boardman Junior High School, Nancy Cuffle walked along side Barbara Pearce both of RE/MAX Valley after collecting donations from all the agents at RE/MAX Valley Real Estate office in Boardman. Bonnie Beam, also of RE/MAX Valley walked independently in honor of a recent cancer victim. In Liberty, in cooperation with Ronald P. Antonelli of Antonelli & Associates REALTORS, RE/MAX Valley brought its balloon jumper to the RELAY FOR LIFE event held May 19 at Churchill Park. There, for a donation of $1.00 the kids bounced away all day for a good cause. Representing RE/MAX Valley at this event were Al Leonard, Bonnie Beam, Sam Bernard, Andrea Chianello, and Jack Pearce. “Relay offers something for everyone,” said Sam Bernard of RE/MAX Valley, “from the newly diagnosed, to caregivers and friends, to long-term survivors. It represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that, one day, cancer will be eliminated.”
Everybody at RE/MAX Valley Real Estate wants to thank all those who came out to lend their support to this important event.
