Competition will take place in four adult divisions:
- Open – entry fee $40
- Women – entry fee $30
- Senior (45-52) – entry fee $30
- Super Senior (53-60) - entry fee $30
- Grand Champion (61 & over). – entry fee $30
No pre-registration is necessary. Just show up and swing for the fences! Enter as many times as you would like, time permitting. Golfers hit six drives per entry, with their longest official drive determining their place in the final standings. Top finishers advance to the RE/MAX WLDC finals, which take place every year in Mesquite, Nevada. A total purse of $600,000 will be available to the world finalists with an unprecedented $250,000 going to the Open champion. The Finals will be broadcast nationally on ESPN during the Christmas holidays. Come out and take your best shot at becoming the 2009 RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion. "We're excited to be part of the first-phase qualifying for this hugely popular international event," said Nazih Banna "We're hoping someone from our area makes it all the way to the RE/ MAX world finals next fall. We have plenty of big hitters here in Youngstown and Hubbard Ohio, so I think we'll have a chance to send someone to the show. We'll see." The RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship is aired on national TV in the United States, Canada, Japan and much of Europe.
